As a one-man project led by Turkish multi-instrumentalist and poet Yusuf Gürfidan; the act bridges diverse influences, crafting a sound that is both genre-defying and deeply introspective.

Emerging from the vibrant interdisciplinary art scene of İzmir; Stoned Jean's music explores themes of existentialism, mythology, and rebellion. The project’s debut, Livia the Countess, showcases a fusion of dense lyrical imagery and dynamic compositions, blending teological and philosophical reflections with driving rhythms and haunting melodies. It demonstrates Stoned Jean's ability to channel complex emotions into visceral, cinematic soundscapes.

Stoned Jean is experimenting with spoken word passages, orthodox structures, and a raw, emotional core. With a penchant for blending spontaneity—through techniques like "l'écriture automatique"—with meticulously layered arrangements, Stoned Jean continues to push boundaries and captivate listeners with a blend of melancholy, defiance, and avant-garde artistry.
